The purpose of the UNM Business and Economic Summits is to continue statewide dialogue about ways to grow the New Mexico economy and innovation ecosystem.  The goal is to convene stakeholders (public, private and non-profit) from across New Mexico. 

This year’s theme “New Mexico the Entrepreneurial” is derived from the partner Right to Start’s national campaign “America the Entrepreneurial” and highlights the leadership of New Mexico in a national context. The 2025 fall Summit will focus on growing the New Mexico entrepreneurial ecosystem in the midst of uncertainty, which is not uncommon for entrepreneurs. The goal is to promote and support entrepreneurs in the state, as it is known that entrepreneurship drives progress through job growth and generational wealth.
