Quantum Connect 2025
Quantum is no longer a long-term aspiration for New Mexico. It’s happening now.
State and federal agencies, national labs, startups, universities, and investors are coming together to make quantum part of New Mexico’s economic future. The Quantum Peer Group’s June gathering brings these stakeholders together to continue that work.
This session will follow up on May’s planning session for IEEE Quantum Week 2025, which will take place in Albuquerque this August. That event is expected to draw global leaders in quantum, and New Mexico has an opportunity to show up as a unified, capable, and future-focused ecosystem.
Recent developments include:
The Quantum Technologies Award Pilot Program launched by the New Mexico Economic Development Department to support early-stage quantum companies
Quantinuum’s announcement of a new R&D center in the state
Elevate Quantum’s designation as a national Tech Hub by the U.S. Economic Development Administration
Senate Bills 211 and 212, proposing tax credits for quantum infrastructure and testing services, introduced during the 2025 legislative session
This gathering is for anyone who sees quantum as a priority for the state’s workforce, research, innovation, and investment strategy. From national lab researchers and university faculty to founders, funders, students, and policymakers—if you are part of this work or want to be, you are welcome.
