• Venture capital investment in NM startups has grown at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 90% over the past four years, with more than $550 million in capital invested in 130 companies since 2019.
• Biosciences lead capital investment at 40%, followed by aerospace, tech, and healthcare
• Early-stage funding is strong, but Series A–C investment lags behind
• Despite significant investment growth, NM lags behind other inter-mountain states, like Colorado and Michigan, in startup exits. An area for improvement.
